Everyone has a COVID-19 story. There’s only a few who remain untouched by the pandemic, it’s shifted the way humans live on the planet.
One of the most important aspects of the pandemic is information. Reliable, up-to-date, unbiased, verified. Data. Science. The stuff that gives us a clear picture of what’s going on, without political spin or a hidden agenda.
Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center provides a comprehensive and in-depth look at corona virus. It’s my go-to site (along with millions of other people).

The Wall Street Journal reports that artificial intelligence company C3.ai went live with an open cloud-based repository only weeks after the WHO declared a global pandemic. Known as a data lake, it contains location and confirmed case data from the World Health Organization and Johns Hopkins, genome sequences of Covid-19 samples, global patient data, treatments and vaccine trackers.
There’s also the COVID Tracking Project, with a US focus.
Our World in Data is now tracking COVID-19 vaccinations, along with all other aspects of the pandemic. It has interactive (live) charts that provide clear data visualisation of trends and changes over time.
I don’t pretend to understand all of this, but hey, it looks and sounds like the real deal. Stats are not my strength but I hope these links provide a useful reference.
